Scribble Arts therapeutic workshops are run by Heidi Compton who has spent 25 years working in all corners of the creative world - the last 5 years seeing her focus on the healing benefits of art. She has a natural affinity with people and is passionate about sharing her love of all things creative - helping people achieve a great standard of artwork, while always maintaining a relaxed and fun environment.
Connection is why we're here. We are hardwired to connect with others, it's what gives purpose and meaning to our lives and without it there is suffering.

As an art facilitator, I create a nurturing space for community groups to explore their creativity and momentarily set aside personal challenges. I introduce simple yet effective techniques to calm the mind, which participants can also use independently during challenging times. The groups I lead include a diverse mix of individuals, from homeless individuals and refugees to NHS staff and vulnerable individuals dealing with various mental health issues.
Often, what many individuals need is a compassionate listener who provides empathy and kindness, making them feel heard and less isolated. This simple yet powerful act aids their journey toward a brighter future. Group experiences foster connections that profoundly impact those facing isolation. They create a sense of belonging and support that can be transformative for individuals.
